By order of the Peaky Blinders: today is a SPECIAL DAY, today is my brother’s BIRTHDAY!!! We’re born almost exactly 10 years apart, and just as he transitions into the first day of his 20’s, I transition into the first day of my 30’s. To celebrate these HUGE milestones, what could be more fun than a 1920’s and 1930’s inspired portrait series? My answer is nothing is more fun, and my brother’s answer is probably “sleeping in”, but he’s such a good sport!
The theme behind today’s shoot was inspired by the Peaky Blinders’ notorious brother and sister duo: Thomas and Ada Shelby.

Shot at the old Samuel L. Davis cigar factory in Tampa, pulling off this production was a family affair: our aunt and my best friend helped pull together our wardrobe from various stores (H&M, Nordstrom, and my all-time favorite vintage store in Tampa: ARTpool) and our mother was the star photographer.
A big THANK YOU to my family and my sweet brother for indulging your sister on her whims. Brother bear, I hope you have the most magical of birthdays today, and may all your wishes continue to come true.
