Winter in the Caribbean is the most beautiful time of the year! The trade winds are blowing across the islands, keeping us cool and breezy as temperatures dip down into a comfortable 70°F. This time of year is better known to us all as #sweaterweather, and yep, even here in the islands we enjoy tossing on cozy layers – even if it is just over a bikini!
For those of us who live here permanently, winter is a perfect opportunity to pull out our favorite knits in the evening, snuggle up, and enjoy the most magical time of the year – while sipping coquito of course!

And while 2020 has definitely become the Year of the Loungewear Set (because let’s face, we’ve spent more time in our pajamas than real clothes this year), I haven’t been able to comfortably slip into anything cashmere until the trade winds came swirling through.
For me, I’ve found keeping it light is the key to layering knits in the Caribbean. Mixing and matching a cashmere bralette top with a heavier cardigan and high waisted denim or pairing cashmere joggers with a bikini are just a few ways to incorporate cozy layers into your daily looks – without looking completely out of place and causing you to overheat.
I also like to pair my looks with shell or natural inspired accessories and textures to keep the style from looking too heavy and wintery.
Admittedly though, in the evenings I get quite cold, and while I sit on my porch as the sun sets, I wear this full matching cashmere set from head to toe – and it feels like the ultimate snuggle. So whatever your style, and wherever you may be in the world – you don’t have to feel left out of the loungewear game – there’s a piece for you!

Sending everyone light and love as we countdown to the holidays, and wishing good health, happiness, and holiday cheer to you all!
xx, CC
