Atlanta holds a special place in my heart as I spent my school summers and college years here.

I have fond memories of hiking up Stone Mountain and watching the laser light shows, spending weekends at Lenox mall, going to the music and art festivals in Piedmont Park, and eating my way through delicious ethnic restaurants on Buford Highway. (If you’re in Atl, you have to try the roti canai at Penang and the black beans and rice at Havana!)

I’ve always been addicted to the thrill of traveling. The sensory overload of new sights and sounds around every corner. The possibility that anything can happen. Adapting new ways of seeing the world.

The experience of traveling is invaluable.

Surprisingly, I’ve found that equally as enjoyable is the thrill of returning home. The sigh of relief as you enter a familiar country with familiar rules. Familiar faces at familiar grocery stores with familiar products. No surprises around any corners, and that’s the best part.

I clearly remember the moment I landed in the US after spending 7 months living in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand.  Loving mostly every moment abroad, I didn’t realize how much I appreciated my own country.

Atlanta is my home away from home in the US. I love the time I spend working here as an art curator for Atlas Restaurant at the St. Regis in Buckhead.

As I usually fly in and out for a few days, it seems like I’m always packing and unpacking. I try to limit my items and select the most versatile pieces that can transition from day to evening.

For me, the jumpsuit is a no brainer. Summer, winter, black, striped, or floral, the jumpsuit is my travel must-have.

It’s sleek, it’s feminine, and it’s easily styled.

Getting ready is effortless. Slip it on and voilà.

Instantly chic.

Right now I am in love with this black and white striped number from Faithfull The Brand.

Stripes on a jumpsuit can be tricky, but Faithfull The Brand nails the design. Rather than emphasizing trouble areas, the vertical lines draw eyes from top to bottom, creating a magnificent illusion of height. At a mere 5’7″, I fall for anything that makes me look taller!

I adore the combination of a sensual plunging neckline offset by a classic wide leg pant.

Feminine. Chic. Elongating. Slimming.

Pair with gold accessories and a sleek black clutch for sophistication in the city, or slip over a bikini, add a panama hat and lace ups, and hit the beach.

(Bonus! Shop the summer jumpsuit I’m coveting now: the Hamptons Jumpsuit, in beautiful white and indigo floral print. Perfect for warm weather travel!)
